Squads are a great competitive learning environment! They run for 1½ and 2 hours depending on standards. The main emphasis of squads is tactical play and putting participants in certain situations and having them explore various outcomes.
Fitness is built into the squad with a high intensity of hitting that makes players work hard, and also through movement drill and some non-tennis games occasionally. Technique is not the main emphasis for squads, but it is touched upon regularly as good technique is required to achieve tactical outcomes.
